My daughter was here for a little over a week on the acute adolescent side. Even tho she was hrs away from home this was the first facility that pointed out a medical concern from her birth and what could be causing what's been going on. Samantha was a awesome therapist and was very informational along with Jessica the nurse. The family sessions were by phone which wasn't just a 15 minute session it was actually an hour I loved how even though I couldnt physically be there i felt as if I was. Unforentally under the current circumstances she needs to go residential, which I wanted it to be at a place close to home so I can physically be involved....then it hit me this evening.... I was doing what I wanted and didn't base on what she needs.... if i could take it back I wish I allowed her to stay in the residential program that they offered.

My 7-year-old child was admitted to Coastal Harbor for 3 days in September 2017. Overall, it was a positive experience, though it was very difficult for my child to be away from family (as it would be for any child at that age). The staff at Coastal Harbor were very warm and kind. The therapists and nurses seemed to truly care about my son. The child psychiatrist was also extremely helpful in diagnosing my son's illness and treating him with the appropriate medication regimen. Overall, I was very happy with the care my son received at Coastal Harbor, and I'm very thankful toward the staff for treating my son and our family with kindness. As a sidenote, my son is a very picky eater and he loved the food there!

My 15 yr. Old son had a very good experience here. I'm surprised at some of these reviews. He was at coastal at the beginning of this year and while it wasn't a luxurious vacation spot, it met his needs. He loved the food, the staff was great to him, and I had no issues in my communication with the staff regarding his treatment. I would definitely send him there again, although I pray I never have to.
